Little bit longer story: I'm a Navy mechanic on the USS Enterprise. I joined for a hell of a lot of reasons, but the main one was for an adventure outside of Bloomington, Indiana... and it has been an adventure, albeit not the one I was expecting. Oh yeah, I'm a second-class for anyone who cares about that kind of thing... supposedly means I make a knowledgeable leader... I'm still not so sure about that ;-)

Outside the Navy, I try to stay as active as I can. I ride my motorcycle as much as I can. I miss some of the woods in Indiana something fierce and want to find some hiking trails around here. I enjoy geocaching when I can get around to it. I love cooking for myself and others... I've been told its good, but I'm my harshest critique when it comes to it. I also read as much as I can. I also like tattoos, I have four of them right now: runes on my left arm that say "truth and honor", a good luck rune on my left forearm , a good health rune on my chest, and the last one is a baby "cthulu" on my right shoulder.

I guess I should also admit to being a cat lover. I love almost all animals, but I appreciate cats a bit more than the others for their personalities... I don't think I've met two cats that were the same yet. :-p

So, I enjoy spending my spare time working to improve myself Iâ??m fairly busy in my life, I work in Chesapeake and live in Hampton. Just to give you some idea, I get up at 4:30 am and I walk, then I shower, meditate, do my affirmations then I head off to work. So by the time I get back home, Iâ??ve been up for over 12 hours. I belong to a couple of groups that meet nights during the week. Iâ??ve cut back on them though, cause the days can get really long! Normally I work on Saturdays, and that I call my drinking money. My friends laugh, cause I drink like one drink every 3 weeks or soâ?¦ and I make a little more than that in my Saturday gig!

When I meet new people, Iâ??m usually kinda shy until I get to know you. I know that at times my liberal nature can be taken the wrong way. However, this doesnâ??t stop me from being the life of the party! Oh, and how I love a good party! Iâ??m from New England, I moved to VA about a year ago. Someone asked me what I missed most, that would be my friends by a landslide. Iâ??ve made some awesome friends here in VA, but sometimes my heart still yearns for those friends.

I am a nuclear engineer who speaks italian and french and am working on my masters degree. I enjoy doing outdoor activities such as playing sports and hiking. I love dogs, but my apartment is to small for any big dogs right now. My friends are a close part of my life and are all great people. I've also taken to sailing: I crew on a yacht for races every Wednesday night from the Hampton Yacht Club. What better way to celebrate the middle of the week than on a boat on the Hampton Roads at sunset?

I love the world and everything in it. I will never turn down a trip to a zoo, aquarium, museum, nature trail or historical site. I want to visit every country on Earth. I'm fascinated by speech through art, music, words, and deeds. In whatever form people are expressing themselves to the world, I'm listening.

I'm incredibly bad at trying to sum myself up in a few sentences. The truth of the matter is - I'm really not all that interesting! I'm a chronic people-pleaser... I've spent my entire life trying to be what someone else wanted me to be and I've never really taken the time to find me. I'm tend to be overly shy and dreadfully bad at meeting new people.

I moved to Virginia in 2004 (wow, has it been that long!?) and I still haven't found that many reasons to think this state is anything but sucky! I'm originally from Texas - I moved here because I thought I'd find happiness - instead, I just found that I became jaded. But, I got two great cats out of it! Now I'm the crazy cat lady!! :)

It's taken me years to finally start meeting people - but once you get to know me, it's hard to get me to shut up! So, be prepared :)

Life's what you make of it... so it's time to start making something of this one! Sometimes you just have to pack up all your belongings and move across the country - you never know when it just might change your life for the better!

I am a down to earth guy who likes having fun. I love sports both watching and playing. I am a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. I also like going to the movies , shopping, and eating. So anyone who likes to let me kno. I am pretty laid-back.

I am a guy that wants to do something more then sit around. I want to go out and see something I haven't seen before. I work, cook, read a ton, laugh, sing off key to annoy the roommate, and want some new friends to help me out with that.

I am a 25 year old full figured african american woman. I enjoy all kinds of music, old and new. i've been called an "old soul" by many. It would be nice to find someone who is just good company and makes me laugh, a sense of humor is so important.

I'm a big kid at heart. I love to joke around. I still play video games and I watch anime. But trust me, I know when to be an adult and very serious when I have to be. I'm a big listener and will try to help anyone out of any situation I can. But yea, I'm still can be a kid. lol And due to my child like nature, it's only nature that I love kids. I have not found a kid that doesn't like me (And if they don't, they must be the spawn of Satan. lol JK) I have 2 godchildren that keep me busy from time to time and it is because of them I can't wait to be a father myself.

Hobbies include cooking, writing, acting, and relaxing (like that ever happens. lol) I love music and listen to all kinds. My PS3 is like my MP3 with everything from Dave Matthews to Kanye West to some J-Pop/Rock thrown in there for fun. Music is universal in my eyes and I listen to it all. I'm also a huge movie buff with over 200 DVDs (No bootlegs here baby.) So I don't mind sitting back at home and watching a movie or two.

I can be a workaholic sometimes, but that's not a bad thing is it? I work as a Pharmacist Technician (Looking to get my Second National Certification) and depending the day of the week, (or who doesn't wants to show up for work :P), I work anywhere between 8-12 hour days, 5 to 6 days a week. Not always a good thing, but the paycheck is worth it ;)

As for going out, I tend to go out quite often whether it's to a friend's house, going out to the movies, going out for drinks, catching a football game, etc. If I can get out of the house, I will, but I don't need to go out all the time. I don't mind just staying at home and having a lil bit of "Me" time. We all need that once in a while.

Finally when it comes to relationships, I'm a sap. I'm a huge romantic. I believe in the "Old School" where you treat your woman like a queen and make sure she never has to worry about a thing. I know a few guys out there may have forgotten about that, but coming from a family of women, trust me, it stuck. lol

I like hands on projects like working on my car or my house I am do it yourself kind of person.

I also like to play video, board, card, games whatever its all good I just like to have a good time.

My aspirations are to be the best at whatever I do. I am a software developer right now for a government contract company, and I am pretty good, but one day I would really like to be running the show and start my own company.

I still truly feel that with the love of a good woman, I can conquer the world, well at least North America. I guess I am a bit of a romantic and thought that I would just find the Love of my Life through Fate. Like in the movie Serendipity, I would just run into her at random and we would just fall in Love. A few of my friends are married with children or even have almost grown children and here I am still single. I do know that I can carry on an intelligent conversation about many subjects, my female friends have called me a gentleman, I have a good, but sometimes sarcastic sense of humor, and I make my friends laugh all the time. I am honest and I can laugh at myself. Well at least I try not to take myself too seriously. I believe that I can truly listen to someone and hear what they are trying to say to me.

I would like to start a relationship with Honesty, Open Communication and trying to take it slow by getting to know each other and trying to find something that might have a chance of lasting awhile. Love can be so hard to find, but is worth all the effort if you are lucky enough to find it.

I love taking long hikes almost anywhere, on a beach boardwalk, on park trails or through the City. I like spending time with my dog, and watching movies. I am a movie buff and have seen too many to mention. Iâ??m also an avid reader, but seem to be reading a lot of self help books lately, LOL! I love being on or near the water. I like dinning at fine restaurants and seeing â??guyâ?? flicks, but can be persuaded to see â??chickâ?? flicks, but only with the right woman. I like seeing plays and musicals at the theater and used to love going to rock concerts.

I do love dogs, I am not sure what that says about me, but I have rescued four dogs so far in my lifetime. I donâ??t have many â??soap boxâ?? causes, and I know I donâ??t do enough good things with my life, but rescuing dogs from a shelter is one of them.
