Pansies of 1880
The original painting is on repurposed vinyl wallpaper that I prepared to accept the acrylic paint. Once prepped the colors seem to guide themselves into the textured paper. This painting took me somewhere long ago, near a potted container tilted under a shaded tree beneath the hot Hampton sun. Oh how blissful the simple life must have been to pleasure the eye with a view of a pansy in the year 1880.
