There is much going on in Hampton’s art scene such as Family Circus Days, Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival, Blackbeard Festival, Mardi Gras, Ballet Gala, and the Virginia Arts Festival. Hampton’s American Theatre and the Hampton Coliseum keep a full schedule of programs and events. The Charles H. Taylor Arts Center, a former public library, is now home for the Hampton Arts Commission where every six weeks there are new exhibits as well as workshops, classes, lectures and demonstrations.

The Hampton Art League also sponsors art exhibits and workshops along with Blue Skies Gallery and Iris Art Studio. The Art Market in Downtown Hampton features 22 pieces of sculpture. Be sure to pick up a free copy of the Art Market Walking Tour Map.
